Although all invoices in hoteliport are identical in format and functionality, conceptually there two types:
  • Room Invoices
    are made automatically every time a reservation enters the system, whether made manually by staff or automatically by sales channels.
    Accommmodation charges are taken from the applicable rate-plan and taxes are calculated.
    If a reservation is for more than one room, all rooms are charged on the same invoice.
    Room invoices are accessed from the booking's Reservation Data Files (RDF).
  • Roomless Invoices
    are made manually, independent of rooms and reservations and thereby support sales of any items which are not charged to a room.
    Roomless invoices are accessed via the Invoices tab in the main menu.
Invoices are supported by the configurable Point of Sale system (POS).
